Rarely Seen on Caskets Since 1940

This is truly a vintage Art Deco style casket handle bracket. This steel arm and adapter style casket handle is common on wood caskets. This type of arm hinges on a patented 3-hole pattern that is connected to an Art Deco single arm adapter, or lug. The adapter is secured to the outside of a wood casket with two screws. The arm is wrapped around an oval dowel handle made from wood or steel oval bar stock.

This arm is available in two sizes including a 1x1-1/4 oval and a 1x1-3/8 oval. Both are compatible with our wooden oval dowel handles, with the smaller of the two making for a nice tight fit with our 1x1-1/4 oval wooden dowels. The 1x1-3/8 arm and adapter is a little easier to fit--especially if you are making your own oval dowel handles with a 1-inch bullnose bit, then order the 1x1-3/8 size.  If you are fitting with our oval steel bar stock, use the 1x1-1/4 size.

Order a set of 16 for a 6x2 handle pattern, or 12 for a 4x2 handle pattern. Add matching end caps to give your project a completed look.

The first thing you will notice when you receive these parts is that the steel is higher quality and heavier gage than many similar brackets made by others. 

Arm is available in plain steel and in a variety of powder coated finish colors. If you have a particular color request, let us know and we can quote you. Plain steel arm and adapter come separate ready for finishing. Powder coated arms come preassembled with the adapter.
