Decorative metal casket handle adapters were common on American caskets built in the 1920s through the 1950s. Consolidation, off-shore production, and cost-cutting measures from the 1960s to present day have resulted in the loss of many of these decorative metal corners.

We ventured to northwest neighborhoods of Old Chicago just off West Fullerton Avenue--an historical area home to dozens of legacy machine shops, as well as furniture and clothing manufacturers. We found the original location where these parts were stamped from American steel on equipment that has been operating since the 1920s.

This casket adapter is the real deal. An American original. True vintage not stamped since 1948.

This adapter is compatible with any adapter style swing arm. Designed to fasten to the outside wall of the casket with two wood screws.
