Classic Casket Corner, Queen Anne
Classic casket corner in Antique Bronze, Polished Silver or Polished Gold. Decorative metal corners were common on American caskets built in the 1920s through the 1950s. Consolidation, off-shore production, and cost-cutting measures from the 1960s to present day have resulted in the loss of many of these decorative metal corners. We ventured to northwest neighborhoods of Old Chicago just off West Fullerton Avenue--an historical area home to dozens of legacy machine shops, as well as furniture and clothing manufacturers. We found the original location where these parts were stamped from American steel on equipment that has been operating since the 1920s. Then we ventured to Galva, IL where Dixline has been electroplating and polishing casket hardware since the 1920s. This genuine steel part is stamped in Chicago and electroplated and polished in Galva. Matching swingbar arms, lugs and end caps also available. This casket corner is the real deal. An American original. True vintage. Specifications Height: 8-1/8 in. Width: 3-1/4 in. Material: Steel Finish: Antiqued and Polished Origin: Illinois, USA
