Rarely Seen on Caskets Since 1940 This is truly a vintage Art Deco style casket handle bracket. This steel arm and adapter style casket handle is common on wood caskets. This type of arm hinges on a patented 3-hole pattern that is connected to an Art Deco single arm adapter, or lug. The adapter is secured to the outside of a wood casket with two screws. The arm is wrapped around an oval dowel handle made from wood or steel oval bar stock. This arm is available in two sizes including a 1x1-1/4 oval and a 1x1-3/8 oval. Both are compatible with our wooden oval dowel handles, with the smaller of the two making for a nice tight fit with our 1x1-1/4 oval wooden dowels. The 1x1-3/8 arm and adapter is a little easier to fit--especially if you are making your own oval dowel handles with a 1-inch bullnose bit, then order the 1x1-3/8 size. If you are fitting with our oval steel bar stock, use the 1x1-1/4 size. Order a set of 16 for a 6x2 handle pattern, or 12 for a 4x2 handle pattern. Add matching end caps to give your project a completed look. This swing bar is the real vintage. We've partnered with General Machinery & Mfg.
