Rooted in an age-old tradition. These period coffin nails are cut much the same way they were 150 years ago. These solid-steel nails have outstanding durability and holding power. Sometimes the finest detail can affect the aesthetic of the project as a whole. These square-head nails will add that detail to your casket or coffin. Approximately 125 nails per 1 lb. bag. Square cut nails are very durable and have been used for over 200 years. They are hard to pull out because their shape causes the wood fibers to push downward and wedge against the nails.

Rarely Seen on Caskets Since 1940 This is truly a vintage Art Deco style casket handle bracket. This steel arm and adapter style casket handle is common on wood caskets. This type of arm hinges on a patented 3-hole pattern that is connected to an Art Deco single arm adapter, or lug. The adapter is secured to the outside of a wood casket with two screws. The arm is wrapped around an oval dowel handle made from wood or steel oval bar stock. This arm is available in two sizes including a 1x1-1/4 oval and a 1x1-3/8 oval. Both are compatible with our wooden oval dowel handles, with the smaller of the two making for a nice tight fit with our 1x1-1/4 oval wooden dowels. The 1x1-3/8 arm and adapter is a little easier to fit--especially if you are making your own oval dowel handles with a 1-inch bullnose bit, then order the 1x1-3/8 size.  If you are fitting with our oval steel bar stock, use the 1x1-1/4 size. Order a set of 16 for a 6x2 handle pattern, or 12 for a 4x2 handle pattern. Add matching end caps to give your project a completed look. This swing bar is the real vintage. We've partnered with General Machinery & Mfg. Co. of Chicago to revive these unique vintage parts--some of which have not been produced since the 1940s. Learn more about these vintage parts by reading about our suppliers. The first thing you will notice when you receive these parts is that the steel is higher quality and heavier gage than many similar brackets made by others. Arm is available in plain steel and in a variety of powder coated finish colors. If you have a particular color request, let us know and we can quote you. Plain steel arm and adapter come separate ready for finishing. Powder coated arms come preassembled with the adapter.  Specifications Parts: G390 + G270 or G265 Bracket Height: 8 in. Adapter Height: 6 in. Adapter Width: 2-5/8 in. Arm Length: 4 in. Classic casket corner in Antique Bronze, Polished Silver or Polished Gold. Decorative metal corners were common on American caskets built in the 1920s through the 1950s. Consolidation, off-shore production, and cost-cutting measures from the 1960s to present day have resulted in the loss of many of these decorative metal corners. We ventured to northwest neighborhoods of Old Chicago just off West Fullerton Avenue--an historical area home to dozens of legacy machine shops, as well as furniture and clothing manufacturers. We found the original location where these parts were stamped from American steel on equipment that has been operating since the 1920s. Then we ventured to Galva, IL where Dixline has been electroplating and polishing casket hardware since the 1920s. This genuine steel part is stamped in Chicago and electroplated and polished in Galva. Matching swingbar arms, lugs and end caps also available. This casket corner is the real deal.
